Local Missions

Local missions are explored annually to ensure funds are disbursed appropriately. In addition, we have committed to support the Guatemala Mission.

A few examples of local missions we have supported include Newaygo County Compassion Home; Newaygo County Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect; Wellspring Adult Day Care; Vera’s House City of Newaygo; WISE of Mecosta, Osceola and Newaygo Counties.

Guatemala Missions

The Guatemala Mission was originally organized by a Baptist church in Greenbay, Alabama.  The goal is to provide basic shelter and food to people in rural areas of Guatemala to help improve their quality of life.

Pastors in these areas select the recipients based on need without regard to religious beliefs.  Each recipient participates hands-on in the process.

Our church participates in this effort through designated donations offered by our congregation, in addition to some members and friends traveling with the local mission group in February.  Individuals pay their own expenses and appreciate financial support through donations.  Envelopes are available at the church specifically to use for Guatemala Mission donations.
