Christmas Bazaar

Annual Home Tour, Soup Lunch, Tea Room, Craft Bazaar & Plum Pudding Shoppe

SEE THE ELVES AT WORK

Created and coordinated by the First Congregational Church of Fremont Women's Fellowship, our Annual Christmas Shopping & Home Tour is that, and so much more. On the first Saturday of e Shopping at the Bazaar ach December, we make a lively day of offering visitors a little (or a lot) to suit everyone as the Christmas season approaches. For the past 26 years, both our church family and the community at large have come to look forward to checking out what we have come up with each year to adorn our homes, fill our gift stockings, and tantalize our palates. The event, which we adopted from a small town in Wisconsin, features a guided tour of three local homes of interest, a craft bazaar, baked goods, soup lunch, and tea and cookies.

Plum Pudding Shoppe

The Bazaar features craft items created by a segment of the Women's Fellowship who call ourselves the Christmas Crafters. The crafts were originally displayed in the homes on our tour, but as our bazaar expanded and items grew more plentiful, we moved it to the church, where today, everything except the home tour takes place. The Christmas Crafters invite church members and friends to join us every Thursday throughout the year between 10 am and 2:30 pm in Fellowship Hall at the church, to make beautiful and unique craft and gift items for this event. Bring a sack lunch and join us for fun and fellowship.

Our Plum Pudding Shoppe features delectable fresh, home baked goods in a variety so varied we can't begin to list them. All we can say is that your shopping pleasure translates into practically inviting our talented bakers into your home for the holidays.

The Bazaar Our Soup Kitchen offers visitors a nice variety of options with rolls and crackers for lunch, at a nominal charge. We usually have at least three large soup kettles going, and if there is any left after lunch, we do offer it for sale.

The Home Tour is offered at $5 a ticket, and includes tea and cookies at the church. 10% of our profits go to charities in Newaygo County. Contact the Church Office at 231.924.4710 for more info.

All year the members of our church gather and create wonderful
handmade crafts for you and yours to enjoy.

You all are invited to come to our presentation  of crafts, food and fun, beginning at 10am, December 3rd at the Congregational Church in Fremont.
